Principal Architect, Refinitiv
Jon gained his degree in Electronic Computer Systems in 1995. Since then he has worked extensively in the network communications field, working for Service Providers and large Enterprises, clocking up 20 years of experience. In 2012 Jon joined the Finance and Risk business unit of Thomson Reuters, now known as Refinitiv. Before Refinitiv Jon worked as a Design Engineer for Radianz, a global network service provider, and then British Telecom where he helped to design low latency networks for the London finance community. He currently holds the position of Principal Architect at Refinitiv with responsibility for the architecture and strategic direction of the Wide-Area and Client Distribution networks. Jon has also participated in several forums at the network industry level and is currently a member of the Enterprise Advisory Council of the Metro Ethernet Forum. Jon enjoys designing and writing software systems and is constantly looking for ways in which automation and orchestration can be leveraged to increase the agility of networking and connectivity services within the enterprise.
