Associate Director – Advanced Technology LAB, TATA Communications
Ahmad Khalil is the Ethernet Network Chief Architect at Tata Communications where he currently leads the state-of-the art Advanced Technology LAB located in Wall, NJ. The team is responsible for the development of Ethernet and DCI new services as well as the impact of emerging technologies on network architecture ensuring that technology introduction has tactical and strategic benefits to network and services.
Prior joining TATA Communications, Ahmad was an Associate Professor at the City University of New York (CUNY) where he obtained various grant awards that focused on networking as well as engineering education.
Dr. Khalil received a B.E. degree in mechanical engineering (Lebanese University, 1997), an M.S. degree in mechanical engineering (Ohio University, 2000), a M. Phil. degree in electrical engineering (CUNY, 2002), and a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering (CUNY, 2005). He is the author of more than 20 published papers in the field of networking in peer reviewed journals and conferences, two book chapters and has three patents applications.
